Meet The Team

Joe Wood

Assistant Pastor / Teens

Joe was born in London, Kentucky, but grew up in Greenfield Indiana. He trusted Christ as his Savior at the age of 12 and has been a faithful member here at Bethel Baptist Church since 1991.  He has always had a love for young people and has been involved in youth ministry for over 20 years.  He surrendered to the call to preach on Memorial Day of 2013.  Five years later, he left his career in aviation to come on staff and serve our young people and their families here at Bethel. He and his wife Kellie have been happily married since September of 2005. They have three beautiful children; Ella Rose, Evan Isaac, and Ezra Josiah. It is their joy  to minister to the youth in this area and see them grow up rich in the good things of the LORD.

David Mora

Assistant Pastor / Music & Missions

Brother David Mora is our music and missions pastor. He was born in San Jose, Costa Rica. He trusted Christ as his Savior at the age of 10 during an old fashion brush arbor revival meeting.  For over 16 years he has been involved in church ministry, translation work, music and teaching various subjects in the Bible College for undergrad and master level students in Costa Rica under the training and leadership of veteran missionaries for 53+ years John and Karry Barnes.  He and his wife Adriana have been happily married since Feb of 2005. They have two beautiful children; Caleb & Sammy. Dave and Adri are passionate about reaching the world  for Christ through the efforts of our global missions program and encouraging others to give their lives to be missionaries everywhere and anywhere.

Logan Lockett

Assistant Pastor / Children

Bro Logan and his wife, Adira, are the children’s ministers at Bethel. They have been over the children’s ministry since 2022 and want every child to know Jesus in a real way. The Locekett's firmly believe that if Jesus takes root in the heart of a child, the fruit of that seed can and will continue to grow throughout their lives.
They have a beautiful family Esais, Elias (in heaven with Jesus) and baby #3 on the way. You will be blessed as you get to meet this wonderful family.

Jeanine Hicks

Church Secretary

The Hicks’ began to attend Bethel in 2015. Since that time, they have been actively involved in many different area’s of ministry, including youth leaders in our teen ministry. In 2020, Jeanine came on staff as church secretary. Pray for them as the Lord continues to bless and use them here at Bethel. They have four children: Daniel, Lydia, Joseph and Evey.

Dr. Randall Parker, Pastor Emeritus

Pastor Parker was born October 17, 1946 in Avery County, North Carolina. Raised in a Christian home, he received Christ at an early age. He attended high school and graduated in 1965. He married Carolyn Johnson in 1967.

He has since earned his bachelor, masters, and doctorates degree, while also serving on several board of directors of different ministries. Called to preach in 1979 he started a church in North Carolina and led that congregation for 12 years.

Coming to Bethel in 1988, the church has experienced the blessing of the Lord in a wonderful way. The 25 acre campus is home to the growing congregation and the ministry reaches around the world. Pastor Parker’s family (two daughters, one son and 7 very special grand children) all actively serve the Lord. Many doors have opened for Pastor Parker and he has been used in conferences for many years.

On May 12th, 2019 after 31 years of pastoring Bethel Baptist Church,
Dr. Parker announced his retirement. His leadership has brought to this congregation many years of physical and spiritual growth. We are eternally
grateful for the wisdom he has instilled in us from the word of God,
and for the love he has shown us as a godly shepherd.

Dr. Parker became Pastor Emeritus on May 26th, 2019,
and since then has been marvelously used to enrich churches across America.
