It is an exciting thing to see fall retreat coming over the horizon for our youth! If you have never been, you are in for a great time! Let me tell you a little bit about Fall Retreat… Fall Retreat is Twin Lakes… It’s the covered bridge and the leaves reflecting off the water… It’s 210 acres of God’s creative splendor! Its canoes and paddle boats… It’s human foosball… It’s the 1200 ft long zipline! Its crazy messy service games… It’s midnight capture the flag, a bonfire, roasted hotdogs and so much smore;) Its good memories you will not forget!
& It is MUCH MUCH More than that…
The main thrust of Fall Retreat is to get away and to hear what the LORD would say to our hearts. This year has been a BATTLE for all of us. It is time to take a needed RETREAT and be refreshed and encouraged by God’s Word and by each other. WE ALL NEED THIS TIME TOGETHER! The theme the LORD has impressed on our hearts for this year is “Stronger For It”. I believe the LORD has great plans for the hearts of all that attend… plans to strengthen us.

Where Is It Located?

We will be heading back to Twin Lakes Retreat Center located in Hillsboro, Indiana. It is about an hour and a half north west of Greenfield. Twin Lakes has been our fall retreat destination for several years and has become such a special place to all who have been there. Feel free to check out their website and lean more of what this wonderful place has to offer.

What Does It Cost?

There will be NO COST for Fall Retreat this year! With all that has been stripped away from this year, it is our desire to give each of our young people this retreat time as a gift. It is our desire and privilege to invest in you. The cost that will be covered will include dinner Friday night, the one night of lodging, breakfast and lunch on Saturday, as well as the zipline and all other activities. Each young person who goes will also receive a free shirt. THE ONLY COST will be the meal we stop to eat on the way home Saturday night. So bring money for that one meal.

When Do We Leave?

We will be leaving Friday, October 30th. We will meet at the church at 4:30pm to eat and load everything up. We will leave for Hillsboro, IN at 5:00pm sharp. When we arrive, we will settle into our cabins and immediately head up for our first service. *Come  to the Church already wearing service attire! There will not be time to change before the service. We will return to the church Saturday evening, October 31st for pick-up between 9:30 and 10:00pm.

What About Safety?

The safety of our young people is our top priority always. We want to keep them safe spiritually as well as physically. We all are familiar with what is necessary to stay safe and or keep others feeling safe with regards to COVID-19. We will be asking parents to daily document their teen’s temperature for the week prior to fall retreat. This will be signed and turned into Bro. Joe prior to going on the trip. We will also take each teen’s temperature prior to leaving for Twin Lakes just to be as precautious as we can.

Twin Lakes has informed me that they will be spreading us out adequately in the cabins. As in our church services, we will NOT be mandating masks. We recommend that you bring one for times when we may be in close quarters. It will be at your discretion as to whether or not you wear a mask. Please feel free to discuss any concerns and or questions you may have with Bro. Joe.
